  Excursions

The following morning, we wake up to the magic of Christmas Eve. After breakfast we take a short drive to the little village of Cartmel with it's ancient priory. After spending a pleasant morning, we return for lunch and to prepare for an evening of festivities. After dinner, we relax with the evening entertainment at the hotel and later visit a local church for the midnight service!

On Christmas Day we have a lovely day ahead with breakfast, hot punch, and a visit from Father Christmas followed by a traditional Christmas Lunch, and then a relaxing afternoon with Christmas Cake and the Queen's Speech. In the Evening we have a light dinner and then a Christmas Dance.

On Boxing Day, we set off after Breakfast for a little fresh air and the beautiful scenery of Lake Windermere. We have lunch at the hotel and afternoon entertainment followed by the Boxing Day Candlelit Gala Dinner.

The following Day we set off after breakfast for a relaxing homeward journey taking time to stop off for a leisurely lunch en route and returning home for late afternoon. As usual, all excursions and all meals are included in the cost of your holiday including lunch on your journey home.

In the restaurant, the main course of the evening meal is served from a carvery, but waiters are pleased to assist in carrying your plate back to your table if required. The hotel is set within twenty acres of pretty gardens and woodlands; there are some lawned, flat areas immediately beside the hotel.
