Eastbourne is a stylish Victorian resort set on the
beautiful Sussex coastline. It has a long, elegant seafront
promenade, which features numerous beautiful floral
displays, a Victorian pier and a 1930s bandstand. The
Royal Parade Hotel is ideally positioned on the seafront
and is a comfortable hotel that has recently been completely
refurbished by its new owners. It has a pleasant restaurant,
a bar-lounge for evening entertainment, and a sea facing
sun lounge where we can sit to relax and enjoy the views.
Bedrooms are all recently redecorated with private bathroom,
tea and coffee making facilities, colour television
and telephone, and there is a lift to all rooms.

Surrounding Eastbourne are many scenic drives to enjoy
and beautiful places to visit. We shall be striking
out onto the Eastbourne Downs to the infamous Beachy
Head, and also heading inland to the Cuckmere Valley
with its wealth of old-world inns and houses and its
secretive smuggling past. We shall be visiting Alfriston,
'England's prettiest village' with lunch at one of Alfriston's
traditional tearooms, and a visit to a local vineyard.
We shall also have a free day to relax at the hotel
and explore Eastbourne with its many shops and gardens
and its long seafront promenade. On the final day, we
make a little detour on our homeward journey to drop
in at Heavan Farm for a home cooked lunch in the Stable
Tearooms. You will also have a little free time to wander
around this wonderful old farm with its bluebell woods
and dragonfly pool.
As usual, all excursions, entrance fees and lunches
out at charismatic local inns and tearooms are included
in the cost of your holiday including lunch at Heaven
Farm on the last day on our journey home.

Accessibility |

| |
|

There are seven
steps at the hotel entrance with a handrail and this
is the only entrance to the hotel. It is in a good location
on the seafront and immediately outside the hotel there
is a level promenade that runs the length of the seafront.
The main shopping centre is only a few minutes walk
from the hotel, but as usual, the coach will be on hand
to drop you there on free mornings or afternoons.
